The Essential Cremation package: $1,795, plus taxes. Transport, basic care, container, cremation, and a biodegradable urn delivered to your home — with every government formality handled for you. No travel, no obligation, and someone on the line at any hour.
We believe simplicity and dignity are not opposites. The Essential Cremation package was built for families in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil and across the South Shore who want a respectful, affordable service without giving up what matters.
Going straight to the essentials does not mean doing things by halves. Your loved one is taken into our care, prepared, identified, entered in the register, and you are accompanied right through to the end of the administrative file. What we remove is the fixed overhead of a funeral home you were never going to use.
With taxes added, the package comes to $2,063.80. When the Quebec Pension Plan death benefit is paid at its maximum amount of $2,500, it covers the package in full and $436.20 remains to the estate. That benefit is never automatic: it requires that the person who died contributed enough to the Plan, and it is taxable in the income of the estate. We apply for it on your behalf, at no charge.
This is the part of the work everyone underestimates, and the part that exhausts families who take it on alone. Here is what we carry, at no extra charge.

A secure space, included, where you follow the progress of the administrative file and of the operations in real time. You will find more than thirty letter templates for settling the estate — banks, insurers, employers — and the sections of the Services Québec booklet What to Do in the Event of Death.
Alongside them are resources on grief and on ritual: supporting a child, a teenager, a suicide survivor; living through the loss of a spouse, a child, someone close. Because the file closes long before the grief settles.
Our team is available day and night to guide you, without judgment and without sales pressure. In these moments, clarity and simplicity are worth more than a catalogue.
For complete transparency, here is what is added according to your needs:
Our advisors help you understand every step and plan only what truly matters to you.
Then this is not the package to choose. The Essential Plus package, at $2,490 plus taxes, carries everything described on this page and adds secure temporary shelter, the care needed for presentation, a private viewing on a draped bed and one hour of private time for up to ten people.
We say this plainly because we see it every week: that is the moment families most often regret not having taken. Almost never the reverse. The decision belongs to the first few days and cannot be taken again afterwards.
Montreal and the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Laval, and on the South Shore: Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Lambert, Boucherville, La Prairie, Candiac and Chambly. In the West Island: Pointe-Claire, Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Kirkland. And anywhere in Quebec, by arrangement.
Transport is included within a 50 km radius of Montreal. Beyond that, travel fees are added and are quoted to you before signing, never after.
A transporter authorized by the Coroner's Office. Online Funeral Services.ca is a funeral transporter authorized by the Office of the Chief Coroner of Quebec. Our vehicles carry the purple and white beacons that identify this role.

It is taking your loved one into our care, the cremation itself, and the return of the ashes, without a viewing or ceremony beforehand. The word "direct" describes the route, not a lack of care: basic preparation, placing the ashes in the urn, the identification medallion and entry in the register are all part of it.
One thing people often confuse: cremation is a method of disposition of the body, not a ritual. Choosing direct cremation commits you to giving up nothing. A gathering can follow — at home, in the spring, when the family can come.
You call us at 514 914-2106, at any hour. We take care of transport from the home, the hospital, the long-term care residence or the seniors' residence, within 50 km of Montreal.
You have nothing to sign on the spot and nothing to bring right away. The rest — the declaration of death, the cremation request, the certificates — follows online, at your own pace.
Yes. We work in Montreal and the Plateau, in Laval, and on the South Shore in Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Lambert, Boucherville, La Prairie, Candiac and Chambly, as well as in Pointe-Claire, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Kirkland and Dorval in the West Island. Transport is included within 50 km of Montreal; beyond that, travel fees apply and are quoted before signing, never after.
Quebec law prohibits cremation before six hours have passed since the death was attested. In practice the timing depends mostly on paperwork: the cremation request and the authorizations must be in order, and a file referred to the coroner follows its own schedule.
We give you a date as soon as the file is complete, and you follow its progress in real time on your secure platform. The urn and the documents are then delivered to your home by our professionals.
No. Everything is done remotely: the signature, the forms, the follow-up. The urn and the documents are delivered to you.
Identification by photograph is offered at no charge and is also done remotely. It is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend it: cremation is final and this step cannot be taken again.
The declaration of death, the attestations, the cremation request and certificate, ordering the death certificates and the act of death from the Registrar of Civil Status, the death benefit application to Retraite Québec, and the official receipt for funeral expenses paid.
Then the cancellations: health insurance card, social insurance number, driver's licence, housing allowance, hunting licence, firearms possession licence, passport, GST and QST accounts, Retraite Québec pension, and allowances from the Ministry of Employment and Social Solidarity. Plus notices to Revenu Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency.
This is the part of the work everyone underestimates, and the part that exhausts families when they do it alone.
A secure space where you follow the progress of the administrative file and of the operations in real time. You will also find more than thirty letter templates for settling the estate — banks, insurers, employers — and the sections of the Services Québec booklet on what to do after a death.
There are also grief resources: supporting a child, a teenager, a suicide survivor, or living through the loss of a spouse or a child.
A biodegradable scattering urn is included and delivered to your home, along with a basic cremation container. If you would rather keep the ashes or place them in a columbarium, a permanent urn is chosen from the store.
Take your time deciding. Keeping the ashes at home seems simple at the moment; the question surfaces later, when someone close would like to pay their respects and does not dare ask to come into your house. A year — one turn of the seasons — often helps.
Payment is made in a single instalment. We do not offer financing: our prices are low because we carry no credit costs, and credit is a bank's business, not ours. Be wary of offers at "$80 a month for five years" — do the multiplication before you sign.
Yes, and it is more common than people assume. Nothing obliges you to fit everything into the 72 hours after a death — which are precisely the hours when people decide worst.
We help families who want a moment later on: a gathering, a scattering, a celebration in their own image. Think of the people you have not yet told: the colleague of thirty years, the neighbours, the grandchildren. They are not asking for an expensive ceremony. They are asking for a place and an hour.
Ask for the numbers and verify them. Ours: funeral services business licence 25FUN0002, issued by Santé Québec, and Quebec enterprise number (NEQ) 1180480882 with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec. We are also a funeral transporter authorized by the Office of the Chief Coroner of Quebec.
