He holds degrees from several prestigious institutions, including the Collège de Rosemont in thanatology techniques, the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in anatomy, and the Fountain National Academy, where he received advanced training in post-mortem reconstructive surgery. He also possesses expertise in airbrush makeup and cinematic special effects. As the author of manuals on restorative arts and hair restoration for renowned institutions, he has shared his knowledge internationally, particularly in Europe, where he has provided specialized training. A guest speaker at prestigious events, he has worked alongside leading figures in the field, such as Vernie R. Fountain, Jack Adams, and Robert G. Mayer. He also regularly teaches advanced restoration techniques at the Collège de Rosemont.
Certified by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, he is a member of several professional associations, including the Funeral Service Association of Canada and the National Funeral Directors Association. His contributions extend to the development of specialized embalming training programs recognized by the Ministry of Health and Social Services as continuing education for industry professionals.
Mr. Fugère has also participated in legislative discussions in parliamentary committees, notably on the management of human ashes, and actively collaborates with the National Institute of Public Health.
